Every day visits*
From Moose, Goose, and Orb Weaver
All seized by Haiku

"Why moose and goose?" you may ask. Back on 2/04/13 Pirate wrote a haiku with an elk in it, and I responded with
one with a moose and then included him every day. A few days later in comments Mystic asked "Where's the goose?"
So I started including her with this post on 2/07. A week later on the 14th, Mark Readfern
asked for and received a spider. The rest is history.

*Well, most days, anyway. Grant me a bit of poetic license.

Shadow Shot Sunday / Mellow Yellow Monday

Lawnicure

I cut my grass today (Sunday.)  I don't believe I have ever cut the grass in March, until now.  And seldom has my lawn ever been in such dire need of cutting.

In case the little knob on my mower is insufficient yellow, here are our daffodils.

Early Spring brings warmth
And yard chores ahead of time
In brilliant sunlight

Shadow Shot Sunday - Mellow Yellow Monday

The same clump of yellow crocuses (croci?) as last week, now with their purple companion.  I took this shot on Wednesday.  Now, they are all wilting.  The purple bud is done, but another came up to replace it.

No extra charge for the little honey bee in their midst.

Such ephemeral blooms
Who shine in their brief beauty:
 A lesson in life.

Six Word Saturday

Seeing two granddaughters on stage today:

Amanda in her school's Jazz Blowout,

Rebekka performing in The Music Man.

I played a concert last night

Grandson Danny's band competed on Friday

What a big musical activity weekend!

OH -- and happy St Patty's Day!

Shadow Shot Sunday/Mellow Yellow Monday

This clump of yellow crocuses always blooms too soon.

Tiny, bright-headed
Heralds of Spring, casting their
Shadow, short and brief

Sensational Haiku Wednesday - Nature

Nature

I just took a walk
In warm bright sunshine.  The wind
Howled like a banshee

Seriously - I had to hang on to my hat!

Join the fun!
