Every day visits*
From Moose, Goose, and Orb Weaver
All seized by Haiku

"Why moose and goose?" you may ask. Back on 2/04/13 Pirate wrote a haiku with an elk in it, and I responded with
one with a moose and then included him every day. A few days later in comments Mystic asked "Where's the goose?"
So I started including her with this post on 2/07. A week later on the 14th, Mark Readfern
asked for and received a spider. The rest is history.

*Well, most days, anyway. Grant me a bit of poetic license.

Carpe Diem #531, Sweetness

such a sweet blessing
in the toil of daily life
a granddaughter's smile

tiny black hopper
seeks safety in my garden
juvenile toadling

the taste of a bug
sharp and acrid on my tongue
sweet to orb weaver

  1. The first two were sweet. The third was was humorously awful--or awfully humorous!

  2. It's plain to see that you and Orb Weaver have completely different tastes!

  3. I can't help but think of a toadling as somehow related to hobbits!

  4. Really loving the "toadling" -- acknowledgement of both its current smallness and its potential size -- has a sweet sound to my mind's ear :D

And the last haiku has an Issa feel to it -- It has both a sense of humor and a slight personification that isn't too overwhelming -- I like it a lot!
